| Bericht: | Sat down and watched the tour by chance and became transfixed by the dynamism,speed ,skill,strength and determination this sport displays.Also beautiful french scenery helped.I had never heard of you until watching this event,except indirectly having heard of a sportsman who wore a free tibet t shirt under his jersey.I remeber thinking at the time that guy has guts and is to be admired.And when I saw images of this bloke cycling along getting patched up at the same time I thought god he\\\'s tough.And then I discovered he was australian!Cadel from what I saw Australia would have been proud of you if you came 140th!Well they say what doesn\\\'t kill you makes you stronger.You reflect all the qualities that your sport embodies that I have mentioned above.Go for Gold Cadel and go for france 2009! | ||||

Sastre had the team of CSC, however you rode all alone and to finish 2nd, under a minute behind the winner is a fantastic achievement. I already cannot wait for next year\'s tour! | Bericht: | Well done Cadel. We rode every stage with you and are now catching up on some sleep as you probably are. We are so proud of you and the way you gave it everything, and left it all out their on the road. Some great Aussie spirit and a demonstration of it to the world. Yellow would have been great but your still a winner for us. As a side not when my boys ride their bikes now (4 and 5 years) they dont call it riding they call it cadelling!!
